Wishing you a Christmas of Peace and Joy

We are so happy to be able to wish you a wonderful Christmas as we celebrate the coming of our Lord to the world. This past year has been an incredible time of transition and change for us, and through it all, God has faithfully kept us and blessed us. We are in a bit of a waiting period as we apply for visas and Brad's work permit, and Cambria's nursing license. While it's always somewhat frustrating to have to wait, this has been a time for us to take a little breather and focus on preparing for what's to come. It has also been a blessing to have one more Christmas season here in the States before we move.

There is not much to update on the visa status. Brad has submitted for his work permit and visa. We'll have to wait until they are approved before the rest of the family submits for their visas. We were told not to expect updates on the status, so it really is just waiting. Fortunately, our time in the Air Force conditioned us well for indefinite waiting! In the meantime, we have all of the paperwork for the family's visas ready and waiting, and Cambria is working through the process to apply for a Papua New Guinea nursing license.

Here's a 2-minute video JAARS put together showing how we train our mechanics to get the job done in austere conditions. This training event was based off of a real-life scenario from the field. Bonus: If you watch closely, you'll see a few quick shots of Brad flying the helicopter, providing a little more realism to the training.
